The Royal Hospital Chelsea is the home of the iconic Chelsea Pensioners, who are all retired soldiers of the British Army. Since 1692 we have offered care and comradeship for veterans in recognition of their loyal service to the Nation. Here, we offer excellent accommodation, comradeship and the highest standards of care for veterans in recognition of their loyal service to the Nation. Any former soldier of the British Army over the age of 65, who is facing spending their advanced years alone, can apply for residence as an In-Pensioner.

Scottish War Blinded supports visually impaired ex-servicemen and women in adapting to life after sight loss. The charity helps all veterans living in Scotland, irrespective of the cause of their sight loss. The majority of veterans who receive individually tailored support have age or medical related sight loss, for example, macular degeneration or cataracts.
